Guitar Features

So, I've got this guitar. Which I'm learning to play -very slowly, but I'm still trying. It's rather boring looking, (I can't stand the fugly border, though I love the guitar.)

-so I figured, why not decorate it a little?

To get some inspiration, I roamed dA for a bit. There are some really nice guitars out there. :)



I'm really impressed that people actually dare going about decorating these things. I'm going to have to give it a think, plan it out thoroughly, and then I'll see if I've got any designs I like. I could even include this in my art project. DAmn, I'm good. xD

If you've got any thoughts, ideas or hints when it comes to the best way of doing this, tell me, please? :) (Such as: What should I base it with, does PVC work? I better do a bit of research before I start off.)
